THINS MUCUS
Menthol and menthone are two chemical components present in peppermint, they have decongestant and mucolytic (thins mucus) actions.
Wintergreen
OVERVIEW
The minty Wintergreen oil is extracted from the leaves of a creeping shrub and contains a unique chemical component called methyl salicylate. This chemical contains strong soothing properties and naturally occurs in only two plants worldwide—birch and wintergreen. Wintergreen leaf contains an aspirin-like chemical that might reduce pain, swelling, and fever. Some of its uses include helping treat fatigue along with lung, sinus and respiratory illnesses. This oil is naturally an antioxidant, energizing and immune-enhancing, since it lowers inflammation and reduces pain
WHAT IS IT?
Wintergreen oil is a beneficial essential oil that’s extracted from the leaves of the
Gaultheria procumbens evergreen plant. Once steeped in warm water, beneficial enzymes within wintergreen leave called methyl salicylates are released, which are then concentrated into an easy-to-use extract formula using steam distillation.
BENEFITS
AIDS WITH COMMON FLU SYMPTOMS
Wintergreen essential oil can be just as powerful in relieving cold and flu symptoms as any over-the-counter cold medication. Inside of wintergreen essential oil is an aspirin-like chemical that helps to relieve pain while the fresh cool scent works as a very effective decongestant.
ANTIBACTERIAL AND ANTIVIRAL PROPERTIES
Gaultheria procumbent extract’s main ingredient methyl salicylate can be metabolized in plant tissues to form salicylic acid, a phytohormone that helps induce plant
immunity against microbial pathogens. It also displayed antimicrobial activity against
Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria can cause a variety of illnesses, as well as Paederus fuscipes, an insect that can cause dermatitis in humans.
CAN HELP TO BREAK UP THICK MUCUS CAUSED BY INFECTION
The decongestant properties help to break up thick mucus caused by infection, allowing you to expel the mucus and the infection in an easier and more comfortable way. For best results, diffusing the wintergreen essential oil in a nebulizing diffuser helps it to be inhaled and sent to the systems of the body that need it most.
Clove Oil
OVERVIEW

Clove oil is produced by distilling the dried flower buds that are collected from the clove tree. Other parts of the tree, such as the stem and leaves, may also be used.
BENEFITS
ANTIMICROBIAL PROPERTIES
In a study from 2012, researchers found that clove oil had the ability to kill staph bacteria cells in liquid culture and in biofilm. A biofilm is a community of bacteria that lives together, shielded by a protective, slimy film.
Most antibiotics aren’t effective at penetrating the biofilm and killing staph bacteria but, according to this study, clove oil seems to be able to.
STRENGTHENS IMMUNITY
Clove oil can work wonders in boosting your immunity. The antioxidant property present in the oil acts as a scavenger for the free radicals that can cause various diseases like cancer and heart ailments. The dried flower bud of the clove contains
compounds that help in improving the immune system by increasing the white blood cell count, thereby, improving delayed-type hypersensitivity.
CAN AID WITH COLD & FLU SYMPTOMS
Clove bud oil is a natural remedy for helping with colds, flu, and bronchial congestion. It’s a powerful antioxidant and a strong antiseptic, too.
SOOTHES SORE THROAT
Clove oil can come in handy during times of sore throat, cough, cold, and sinusitis. The excellent expectorant, clove oil, can not only clear the nasal passage and gives you respite from respiratory problems but it also has a cooling effect on the nasal cavity and throat.

Tea tree oil (Melaleuca) can inhibit the growth of bad bacteria that cause sinus infections and respiratory issues
PREVENTS VIRAL INFECTIONS
TTOs' antiviral activity on surfaces has been well documented, but researchers also tested the oil, along with eucalyptus oil, in aerosol and vapor states to determine the range of its benefits. Both tested oils' aerosols possessed strong antiviral action and were capable of inactivating model viruses with an efficiency of more than 95% within five to 15 minutes of exposure.
ALLEVIATE SYMPTOMS ASSOCIATED WITH RESPIRATORY ILLNESSES
Tea tree oil and eucalyptus oil are among the Essential oils proposed to possess antimicrobial properties in the airways and are commonly used as alternatives to or in addition to medications used to alleviate symptoms associated with common respiratory illnesses such as colds, influenza, and pneumonias.
IMPROVE SINUS CONGESTION
Tea tree oil may improve sinus congestion by fighting two potential causes: bacteria and viruses. A 2015 review notes that a compound called alpha-sabine in tea tree oil provides antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal effects.
MCT Oil
OVERVIEW
MCT oil is colorless and odorless while having an optimal fat content, making it an excellent carrier oil. Carrier oil, also known as base oil or vegetable oil, is used to
